The European Political Community (EPC) is a new ‘platform for political coordination’ (European Council) initially proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron.
In a speech at Sorbonne University in Paris on 25 April, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a more sovereign and more powerful Europe. This was an echo of his first speech on the same theme in the same place seven years ago.
French President Emmanuel Macron is committed to creating a ‘European Political Community’, distinct from the EU. European states not in the EU – including the UK – should take the concept seriously.
Today, 3/3/25 in the news, was the mention of “The Coalition of the Willing”. One of Emmanuel Macron’s major buzz words.
From what I saw today in the news, NATO is fading fast. And the EU is not doing well either. So? There is only one more horse in this race.
IMO, another one of Emmanuel Macron’s Major buzz words is this, “EPC”. The European Political Community.

“We’ve got to find those countries in Europe that are prepared to be a bit more forward-leaning,” Prime Minister Starmer said per The Telegraph.
“I’m not criticising anyone here, but rather than move at the pace of every single member, every single country in Europe, which would in the end be quite a slow pace, I do think we’ve got to probably get to a coalition of the willing now.”
