Great Power, Greater Responsibility: UN Secretary-General Calls For Shaping AI For All Of Humanity
The below remarks were made by the UN Secretary-General at the AI Action Summit 2025.
Let me begin by thanking President Macron and Prime Minister Modi for convening this AI Action Summit.
The United Nations offers an inclusive, transparent and effective platform for AI solidarity.
And we are working to strengthen that platform.
The Global Digital Compact, adopted at the Summit of the Future, established the first universal agreement on the governance of AI.
It brings the world together around a shared vision:
One where technology serves humanity, not the other way around.
The creation of an Independent International Scientific Panel on AI will be central to translating this vision into reality.
By pooling global expertise, this Scientific Panel will promote a common understanding of AI risks, benefits, opportunities and capabilities, and help bridge knowledge gaps.
The Global Digital Compact is based on the overarching principle that technology should benefit everyone. Today we establish an Independent International Scientific Panel on AI and initiate a global dialogue on AI governance within the United Nations. We are delivering on our promise to take action to promote scientific understanding of AI, and to ensure inclusive multi-stakeholder discussion on AI at the UN.
From what I can gleam from this article above, we see the EU and the UN both working hand in hand with all of the Elites around the world to establish GLOBAL COMMUNITY centered around AI.
And the UN in three weeks will establish this Community and maybe even attempt to make it LAW with penalties.
